How to create a construction estimate
Enter contractor and customer details, add a clear project description, then enter line items with measured quantities, units and your own unit prices. Subtotal = sum of each quantity × unit price. A fixed discount is deducted first; optional tax applies to the discounted subtotal. CoatPath does not determine jurisdictional tax rules, labor rates or material prices.
Example
If two line items total $250.50, you enter a $20 discount and 10% tax, the taxable amount is $230.50, tax is $23.05, and the grand total is $253.55. You can revise inputs and preview the layout before printing.
Privacy and local storage
Drafts are stored locally in this browser only when you select “Save on this device.” PDF documents are created locally. No customer record is uploaded to CoatPath servers. Clearing browser data may delete drafts; keep a PDF copy of important estimates. Sharing a printed or exported estimate is your responsibility.
Can I add measurements from other calculators?
Yes. The concrete, slab cost and drywall calculators provide a transfer button that opens this tool with relevant quantities and editable line items.
